German voters

Picture A German voter ponders the need to control inflation vs the need to promote manufacturing growth.

It seems the government in Germany is going to allow babies to have the vote. “Unfortunately in Germany, 17 % of the population, namely the children and adolescent, are excluded from political decision making” said Weapons Grade Retard and FDP spokesman Dirk Niebel.

Pollster : So Master Fritz, you are sitting in your own excrement as your nappy hasn’t been changed. What do you think of the EU’s CAP subsidy for Tobacco farmers? A necessary protection for Greek farmers or the subsidy of cancer”.

Master Fritz (8 months old): “Goo Goo Gaa Gaa Wah”

Pollster : So Master Fritz. Will you be giving your vote to the CDU?

Master Fritz (2 years old) “Car Park, Car Park”

Pollster : “Herr Fritz, What is your opinion on German Troops being involved on the war on terror”?

Master Fritz (10 years old) “Will the government give me Grand Theft Auto for free?”

Pollster : “Can we count on your vote in the regional elections”

Master Fritz (16 years old) “Only if you get me a date with Cheryl Cole, and stop my dad from making me mow the lawn”

I suppose on the other hand it does make sense, infants are incapable of rational decisions, so are politicians. Children are selfish, ditto politicians; children believe the world is against them, politicians know everybody hates them. Children are gullible – politicians need that. And as Ronald Regan said; “Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other”. I suspect that this won’t affect the vote much, other than the green party will get a few more seats because MTV Deutschland will tell them that the Greens are cool in-between playing David Hasselhoff music videos.
